Community Helpers | Dec 18, 2006 | << More to News | Community Helpers is a fun subject to study at preschool. Children pretend to be policemen and policewomen and chant safety rules; they enthusiastically participate in their fire drills and make believe they are firefighters climbing on trees to save a little lost kitten or use large hoses to put an imaginary fire out. They also make a doctor corner at their dramatic play area, take temperature, put band-aids and write prescriptions to make their patients better. In addition to all that fun, children have an opportunity to meet some real community helpers who come to visit and talk to the young listeners. Here are two pictures representing policemen visits to two of our centers. You may expect more pictures of other visitors to be posted in the very near future. |
