Thousands of volunteers from Merced through Tulare got up before the sun rise this morning, to sell today’s Fresno Bee KIDS DAY special addition for $1.00, with the proceeds going to Valley Children’s Hospital. This year, like in previous ones, Kids Kare Schools representatives hit the streets and made an effort to top last year’s goal. As always, the schools got into a friendly competition to see who could sell the most Kids Day papers. Actual winners of this competition are, naturally, children and their families at Valley Children’s Hospital. It was a pleasure seeing the enthusiasm in which children and staff members at our schools did their best to raise more money and support our community for this valuable cause. |
