This new experience we have explored this summer for the first time, proved to be an exciting and rewarding one! Not only did the children have a chance to view up close trained horses performances, but they also were involved in interactive educational activities. They had the pleasure of petting and feeding the petting farm distinctive animals. The children took home two souvenirs they created, a plant they were instructed on how to care for, and a horse shoe they sponge painted.

“We really enjoyed the field trip.” Declared the children, “we were so excited to pet the animals and horses, they loved the leaves we fed them.”  Every child knows by now that a beige horse with white feet and mane are called palomino, and a bay horse is brown and black. One of the highlights of this trip was viewing the horses in the arena.  They demonstrated different commands such as trotting, jogging and looping.  The horses, just like their trainers, were very friendly and performed great!
