Kearney Mansion- Our children had an opportunity to learn about the valley’s rich historical past at the Kearney Mansion Estate. On the tour we saw many of the original pieces that are housed in the mansion as well  as machinery that was utilized 150 years ago. The school house or “Carriage House” gave the children an opportunity to step back in time and experience the daily lives of children more than a century ago. An interesting fact that the children learned was that Mr. Kearney had his own mint and printed his own money for his township. This was definitely a field trip to  r emember. |
