A big thank you to Ms. Barbara and Ms. Nancy for visiting all our schools and sharing some of their Asian culture with our kids. They performed a dance native to their culture, wore traditional dress, and even brought in some items that are popular such as dolls and drums. The kids loved watching them perform and being able to learn a bit of their special dance as well. Some of the children made their own dragon masks and a a dragon parade to help celebrate the new year! We also had a rice festival in the schools where the children tried to learn to use chopsticks and were able to taste traditional white rice. The children had a fun time, but almost all of them said they preferred to use forks and spoons! |
