We took a little field trip to The Simonian Farm's Pumpkin Patch. While there we learned all about pumpkins! We learned that pumpkins start as seeds, just like the ones we find while carving a pumpkin. Then the seeds need nuturing, like good soil and a lot of water for it to grow really big just like the ones we are about to chose from the patch. After our pumpkin lesson we got to enjoy a hayride that took us all around the Simonian Farm, which the kids absolutely loved! After the hayride we got to pick our very own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. While doing this, the kids sure knew how to pick their pumpkins. Some looked for the biggest ones while others looked for just the right size. Getting to chose their own pumpkin was so exciting they couldn't wait to bring it home with them. Thank you to Simonian Farms for the great experience our Preschoolers endured on this trip! |
