Columbus Day is celebrated in the United States to honor Christopher Columbus's first voyage to America in 1492. At Kids Kare Schools we recognize this special day and celebrate with the children through reading stories, singing songs and working on arts and crafts projects. This year our preschoolers became adventure explorers. They used telescopes they made to discover hidden items around the schools. They wrote about “The new land they have found” in their journals, and built the new land in the block area. They danced and jumped in an out of the “ocean”, and created the three ships the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria. Happy Columbus day to everybody from Kids Kare Schools!!! |
