This is the giving time of year, even if it is just giving of our time. That is an important lesson that we try to teach in our preschool program during the holidays. One way we do this is to go visit the Grandma's and the Grandpa's at our local retirement homes. They truly enjoy hearing the kids sing and just visiting with them for a short while.
Our gradeschool kids at Kiddie Kampus really got into the giving spirit this year and made fleece scarves for the preschool kids to give to the Grandma's and Grandpa's. They were very much loved and appreciated, especially coming from the hands of a sweet, loving child.
What a great way to spread some Holiday magic... all it takes is a little time! :)
