What are rocks? We learned that rocks come from the surface of the earth. It's created from the minerals of earth. What's more fascinating is the different shapes, sizes and textures rocks can come in. At the center we gathered just a few samples so that we can study them. We use our hands to feel the textures. Some rocks are smooth while others are rough. We also use our magnifying glasses to see how each rock differs from each other. Some rocks have a smooth layer and some have holes in them. We definitely learned alot this week from the rock study! |
