Have you ever wondered how caterpillars turn into butterflies? We have! And we're observing caterpillars right in our center. On the very first day we watched these caterpillars wiggle around in a cup. Then, a couple of days later when we came back we didn't find any wiggling caterpillars, instead we found cocoons hanging from the top of the cup. Our teacher then hung those cocoons in our butterfly net and now we're waiting for our cocoons to turn into butterflies. We can't wait but we're learning so much about bugs already. We've learned that bugs and insects like to eat leaves and fruits and we've also learned about some of the bugs habitats. We can't wait to continue our lesson as soon as these butterflies hatch! |
