December is a very fun-filled month at Kids Kare and it started off with our lessons on the season of Winter. We talked about the cold weather and what we wear in the winter to keep us warm. We also read stories and did activities about cold weather animals such as the polar bear and penguins. The children started practice on learning left versus right by making winter mittens as well. We also worked on snowflakes, snowmen and even made our own glitter playdough that looked just like snow!
Another big part of our December fun started this week with putting up our Christmas trees and the return of our Elf on the Shelf from the North Pole. The tricky little guy will be hiding and watching the kids every day and reporting back to Santa every night on the good, and not so good, behavior that he saw. So to all our little children out there in Kids Kare Land, make sure you are on your best behavior! :) |
